We believe these knitting needles and crochet hooks are the best you can buy — warm, smooth, strong and most of all, beautiful. The highly polished surface of hardwood enables fast, even knitting but retains slightly more grip than metal, making it ideal for working with slippery yarns, in particular.
Which to choose?
Lantern Moon have built a reputation as the Rolls-Royce of wood needles on the back of their famous "liquid silk" finish. Ebony is the slickest of their woods; blonde is the grippiest, but also the most robust.
Colonial’s straight needles offer the smallest sizes you’ll find in hardwood and their gorgeous interchangeable set offers fantastic value, plus an amazingly smooth join.
And Ed Jenkins is famous for his fabulous, beautifully shaped and super-smooth crochet hooks.
