It’s a genius idea: create a full library of needles (circulars as well as flexible straights) by just screwing the right size tips onto cables of different lengths. Colonial is certainly not the first company to do this but they are the only ones doing it in gorgeous, super-smooth rosewood - and with their much admired pointy tips, smooth joins and no-kink cables, we’re sure you will find this set very hard to resist.
Set includes:
Cables: 4 each for different size tips in 40cm, 60cm and 80cm lengths, i.e. 12 total (can be joined together to create a super-long circular needle for moebius knitting!)
2 tips each in 3.5mm, 3.75mm, 4mm, 4.5mm, 5mm, 5.5mm, 6mm, 6.5mm and 8mm (sizes 3.25mm, 9mm and 10mm are available separately)
2 adaptors to lengthen cables
2 sets of knobs for the end of your cables, to create flexible straight needles if desired
Sturdy metal knitter’s gauge (metric, US and imperial sizes) with handy yarn cutter
All packaged in a beautiful silk case with labelled pockets. Also nifty: the joins, adaptors and knobs are colour coded - smaller sizes in brass, larger in black metal. Now isn’t that thoughtful?
