Knitted lace shawls and garments are very popular and this workshop will teach you the techniques you need to knit a complicated lace shawl, with an applied edging. You will learn how to read more difficult charts, work the various stitches and decreases needed for lace knitting, add beads to your lace using the crochet hook method and work an applied edging, provisional cast on and suitable cast/bind offs.

Following this workshop you should be confident to tackle a more complicated lace shawl with an applied (knitted on) border.

The workshop is being taught by Anniken Allis who is an experienced knitter, crocheter and designer who is regularly published in British knitting magazines.

All materials and refreshments, including lunch, are supplied, and all attendees will receive 10% off any purchases from the Purlescence store on the day.

The workshop is on Saturday 19th May 2012 between 10am and 4pm at Purlescence HQ in Wantage, Oxfordshire.

Suitable for intermediate and advanced knitters who are familiar with easy lace patterns.
