This is rather special sock yarn. The merino base has been coloured using only 100% natural plant dyes, for minimal environmental impact - making it perfect for holistically minded knitters. Truly socks to tread lightly on the earth!

Approx 338m per 100g - one skein makes a pair of socks.
Recommended needle size: 2.5mm-3mm
Gauge: 26-30 st per 10cm

Note: Naturally dyed yarns behave differently. The palest colours may fade over time, so are best used for items that won’t be washed too often (think scarves rather than socks), while the darker colours are fast, but may contain excess colour that will rub off at first - so don’t wear them over white. The dyes (especially darker shades) also affect the softness of the yarn; however, careful washing will restore the yarn’s natural softness.
Although the base yarn is superwash, we recommend handwashing using Soak or pH-balanced soap, and adding a splash of vinegar to the final rinse to restore clarity of colour.
