Winding skeins is so much easier with a swift. To use this beautifully handmade wooden tool, stand it on any flat surface (the felt base won’t damage your table-tops), fold out the four arms and arrange your skein around the pegs - move the pegs out as far as possible to hold the yarn tight. (For some large skeins, it may be helpful to move one or more pegs out another notch halfway through as the yarn slackens.) Wind your yarn using a ball winder or nostepinne, and enjoy the smooth-running movement. Easy!
Each swift comes with 5 pegs, just in case you lose one, and folds up for easy storage. Holds skeins of up to 72". A real pleasure to use.
