Quite simply, heartstoppingly lovely yarn. This is essentially the wildly popular Seasilk (silky, lustrous, amazing) with added merino to warm it up a bit - and it’s machine washable. They may call it Sea Sock (and it would make incredible lacy stockings) but I’m thinking shawls. (It’ll block wonderfully.) Or summer tops; even with the merino, it’s still gorgeously cool and slinky to the touch.
Good to know: the base fibre for this yarn is produced in Switzerland using 100% renewable hydro-electric power.
51% silk, 29% superwash merino, 20% seacell
400m per 100g skein, plenty for a pair of socks
Recommended needles: 2.5mm (for socks; go up a bit for sweaters, a bit more for lace)
28 stitches to 10cm/4in
